Why midlet turn pages by 2 and more?
Previous  Top  Next

Single page is 128 bytes of text. This scheme is used to make page numbering independent of font and formating settings.

Since phones with large screens can show more than 128 bytes of text on the screen, switching to the next page can increment page counter by 2 and more.

If "Page down" key is hold or pressed several times repeatedly, midlet will turn pages with accelerating speed, skiping 10 or more pages at once. It is expected that user wants to quickly reach some page. Please make a single second pause to return to normal mode.
