A lot of mobile phones today are capable to run small JAVA programs. This actually makes them a very, very tiny computers with processing power comparable to early IBM 8086 PCs.

For sure, I could not pass an opportunity to make a program for mobile phone. When first JAVA-enabled phones became available on the market, I bought “early birst” Siements SL42 and started writing bookreader application.

First version was compatible with SL42 only, but soon became large, full-featured, user-friendly application compatible with all J2ME-enabled phones.

In 2006, ReadManiac won 3rd place in JavaKonkurs competition
(Sponsored by Sun Microsystems).

Date: 2003-2006
Platform: JAVA-enabled phones (J2ME MIDP1.0, 2.0)
Language: Java

Note: I do not support this project anymore due to luck of interest.
