Computers store text as a sequense of numbers. Codepage is a special table describing correspondence between leters and numbers. Most codepages use numbers from 0 to 255, and describe letters of some specific language.

The same file can be interpreted differently. If wrong codepage is used for displaying contents of the file, user sees random sequense of letters.

Luck of standarts at the begining of the computer era lead to existance of several codepages for single language.

During midlet creation, Wizard adds support for four most popular codepages for selected language.

TINY version supports only one codepage.

ReadManiac does not support 16-bit codepages, like Chinese, Japanese and Arabic charsets.
